Music Video completed!

After straightening out the errors from the previous video, we can finally say that our music video is finished.

Album Cover finished!

The album cover is finally completed! It's now been sent off to the printers and we're just eagerly waiting for the finished product.

This album was created using Adobe Photoshop CS3. 

The front and back images were first edited using an airbrushing technique to smooth out Knyt's skin complexion. This was a new technique where Bianca had found a tutorial where it showed us step by step on how to use different effects to create the desired look. 

The font that we used was Matiz which we found on dafont.com I chose this font because it was bold and it stood out in order to grab the audience's attention. 

I decided to continue on the colour theme of purple and black to create synergy between the various media texts and thus creating familiarity in order for the audience to recognise the similarities easier.

Call Sheet and Shot List

In order to prepare for the shoot and make sure we use our time efficiently, we have created a shot list and a call sheet.

Each person involved in the shoot has a copy of the call sheet so that in case of any situation, they know who to contact. We also have a shot list so that we can make sure we film every shot we need. The shot list is also the shooting schedule as it contains times so we know when each shot should be done by.

Dancers and Runners

We tried but we haven't been able to find a dancer to feature in our music video so we have decided that Bianca will be the dancer. It will work out much better because she is already dedicated to the project, she has dance experience and is a really good performer.

In order to help us out on the day, we have got some trustworthy people to help us set up equipment and do various other jobs on the day and have got them to sign a contract:

Make-up Inspiration

For Bianca's part, as she's wearing a feathered mask, we want the attention to be drawn to her eyes. Therefore, our initial idea is for her to have nude/beige lips. Here's an image of the look that we want to achieve.

Unfortunately, this is not the look that we were going for. Looks like we're going to have to research some more studios.

Inspiration

We are taking some inspiration from this music video because it has the same sleek and urban feel that we want to recreate. It has been filmed totally in a studio and has sexy female extras in it which are two concepts we want to include in the music video

Fourth Group Meeting

We've presented our treatment so right now it's time to crack on and start planning for the production of the music video. Our main priority is to assign rough shots to each lyric of the song. It's going to take quite a while, but in the end, it'll be worth it because it'll make it easier to storyboard the video. So here goes!

This is the overall look of the music video which we want to achieve.

As we are using a local artist, his image has already been created. However, we want to stylise him to be similar to Jay Sean for the music video.

Costume: For the performance shots where he is singing to the camera, we want him to be wearing glasses, leather jacket, jeans for a casual yet stylised look.

For the shots where he's in the club and performing on stage, he will be wearing a blazer with black jeans for a sophisticated look.
